A dancer for many years, Jaime has long had a passion for the human Body and how it moves. At Arizona State University, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Dance, which included the study of anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and kinesiology.
Having first discovered Pilates in a high school dance class, Jaime’s love for movement and fitness made her realize that she either needed to invent a treadmill desk, or leave her job in management for a life of Pilates. Choosing the latter, she promptly pursued her certification through Pilates Academy International, and fell in love with how Pilates can strengthen the muscles while lengthening them and be adapted to any fitness level or objective.
Pilates helped Jaime run her first marathon and has transformed her chronically weak upper body, allowing her to pursue the art of trapeze and aerial pole dancing.
She is also a certified Prenatal and Postpartum Exercise Specialist through The Center for Women’s Fitness and Fletcher Spine Corrector instructor.
Jaime is a certified Yoga instructor too, who teaches a dynamic yoga flow class centered on the union of asana (poses) and breath, connecting you to your core while focusing on alignment. Her teaching style is strongly influenced by Pilates.
Jaime looks forward to helping you attain your goals, as well as setting new ones!
