Hidden Hip Stretch

Our Studio Features section offers ways you can improve your health and fitness in your work place or home. The "Hidden hip stretch" is a good pose if you're feeling self-conscious about doing yoga at your desk - no one needs to know.

But as subtle as it is, do not underestimate the benefits of this Yoga pose. It can really help to relieve lower back pain.

Hidden hip stretch
  1. While sitting in a chair, cross your left leg over your right and rest it just above your right knee.
  2. Maintain an upright posture and a relaxed body.
  3. Apply pressure on the crossed knee with your left elbow or left palm. You should immediately feel a deep stretch.
  4. When you have had enough, switch sides.
